加密货币GlobalCoin即将诞生！

 Facebook计划于2020年第一季度之前，在全球十几个国家建立数字支付系统，并打算在今年年底之前开始测试其加密货币，该货币在其内部被称为GlobalCoin。Facebook创始人扎克伯格上个月与英国央行行长马克·卡尼会面，商讨启动加密货币所带来的机遇和风险，甚至向美国财政部官员寻求有关运营和监管问题的建议。为了寻找更便宜，更快捷的方式，Facebook还在与包括西联汇款在内的汇款公司进行谈判，允许无银行账户的用户也能够收发款。

Facebook is finalising plans to launch its own crypto-currency next year.

It is planning to set up a digital payments system in about a dozen countries by the first quarter of 2020.

The social media giant wants to start testing its crypto-currency, which has been referred to internally as GlobalCoin, by the end of this year.

Facebook is expected to outline plans in more detail this summer, and has already spoken to Bank of England governor Mark Carney.

Founder Mark Zuckerberg met Mr Carney last month to discuss the opportunities and risks involved in launching a crypto-currency.

Facebook has also sought advice on operational and regulatory issues from officials at the US Treasury.

美国电信巨头AT&T允许加密货币支付账单！

5月23日，美国电信巨头AT&T宣布，将通过BitPay接受加密货币支付账单。目前，加密货币支付选项尚未扩展到购买手机以及其他电子设备的AT&T服务。截至目前，BitPay服务还不能在AT&T的店面中运行使用。

AT&T’s Death Star logo may have really been a moon after all, with the telecom giant announcing Thursday that it will accept bill payments in the form of crypto by way of BitPay.

As it stands, the crypto option isn’t being extended to other AT&T services, such as buying phones or other devices, and as of yet BitPay won’t work in AT&T’s storefronts. That said, the company noted in a statement that its customers use cryptocurrency and that the new offering is intended to give them their preferable option.

“We’re always looking for ways to improve and expand our services,” said Kevin McDorman, vice president at AT&T. “We have customers who use cryptocurrency, and we are happy we can offer them a way to pay their bills with the method they prefer.”

The cryptocurrency dropped below $7,500 after falling back from its recent high of $8,360.19 on May 15, additional CoinDesk figures show.

The digital currency experienced this pullback after climbing more than 100% since the start of the year.

5月23日，就起诉红杉资本损害名誉一事，币安创始人赵长鹏连发11条推文回应，大体内容如下。1. 仲裁庭已驳回红杉的所有诉讼请求；2. 我胜诉，但案件极具破坏性，禁令导致他无法在2017年底为币安筹集资金，而这正是市场关键时刻；3. 此前，禁令以及红杉对其的严重指控被公之于众，迫于仲裁是保密的，我无法公开为自己辩护；4. 香港法院确定红杉在获得禁令方面的行为是滥用程序。去年年底，仲裁庭最终确定红杉所有索赔毫无法律依据；5. 红衫中国为此共承担240万美元的相关法务费用，但却败诉。我即便胜诉后，也不被允许将结果公之于众，所以必须反诉以公布结果；6. 我需要先垫付77.9万美元的法律费用，最终由Sequoia支付。这对于多数企业家来说是无法做到的。大多数企业家也无法在即将被提起诉讼的情况下为其创业公司获得额外资金；7. 诸多初创企业别无选择，只能屈服于风险投资公司所采用的不公平条款或做法，尤其是一个著名的风险投资公司；8. 我们不只是在防守，而是为行业而战；9.幸运的是，对于现在的企业家来说，现在还有其他选择。欢迎人们使用基于区块链的筹款活动。

“1/10 A few points. Most of you may not know the final outcome of my dispute with Sequoia, but it is public now. In summary, the arbitration tribunal dismissed all of Sequoia's claims.

2/ I won, but the case was very damaging. First, Sequoia took out an injunction against me which prevented me from raising finance for Binance at the end of 2017 which was a critical time in the market and when there was huge interest in Binance from other VCs and investors.

3/ The injunction and Sequoia's serious allegations against me were made public, but I was not able to publicly defend myself because the arbitration was confidential.

4/ The Hong Kong courts later determined that Sequoia's actions in obtaining the injunction were an abuse of process. Late last year, the arbitration tribunal finally determined that all of Sequoia's claims were completely without merit.

5/ Sequoia (China) paid $2,400,000 in legal fees for their part, and lost the case. I had to front USD $779,043 for over a year to cover my legal expenses, which eventually was paid by Sequoia because they lost. But I had to front it.”
